Thinking of investing in some tins of Kamui tips and need some input on how they play ... How are the hardness ratings compared to the old Moori , such as med . and hard ... Also any input on the Regular Kamui verses the Black ... Any info would be helpful since they are pricey and I don't want to get stuck with tips my customers don't like ... Thanx a Bunch ...

I've never tried one as there are so many layered tips on the market and they last so long. I do stock and install them however. So far I've installed 3 or 4 soft, 4 or 5 med./soft, about 60 med. and about 8 or 10 hard. I have only had one person say they didn't like them and that was a medium. He had been using a Sniper and that is what he went back to. I started stocking the black a couple of months ago but so far have not had any requests to install one. Take it for what it's worth.

I play with the Kamui Black Soft on my own cue. It play better than the soft Moori. It holds it shape very good also. I have put on a lot of the Med Blacks. No complaints as of yet. I probably has installed about 50 or so total med and about the same softs. Everyone so far likes them.

You should do it. It's the best tip on the market, especially the Regular Soft. I replaced one Black Soft recently that came on a customer's new cue and he didn't like it; but then I've installed 7 or 8 Regular Soft in the past couple of weeks and everybody loves them. After hearing the rave reviews, I put one on my own cue, and I agree with them. It's great. I'm ordering more for stock today.

Thanx a Bunch for the input guys , I'm reluctant on investing because I still have a bunch of the original Moori med. and don't want dust collecting on the Kamui's ... With todays market everyone is looking for value ...

I can tell from my experimenting that every level of Kamui - reg & black - tip is a good bit harder, on average, than equivalent rating for most other layered tips. They just run very firm. They may play well, but the hardness drove me away fast. I'm using Everest tips now - they come on the OB1 shafts I've started using all the time & seem like a real good fit. I'd been using Mooris since back in the day (the old Moori MedHard was the nuts), and they just aren't what they used to be.

For the Mediums and Hards you can't go wrong with Wizards. Price is great, and I haven't had one complaint about them.

I have been installing and promoting Kamui tips for a long time and the quality consistency with the tips has stayed the same the Black tips give you more side spin more draw and more follow you can play down and get the same affect on the cue ball it allows you to use more of the cue ball.

I had been playing with a moori quick for some time now.I decided to bite the bullet and spend $20 for a Kamui Black hard.I installed the kamui black and left it the original height instead of cutting about 1/3 to 1/2 off, like I would normally do.Just so I could see if it was gonna mushroom a little or get a little loose.I burnished it just a few passes to get it slick and shiny.I guess after I got it ready I played for a couple of hrs and it never moved a bit.So after I decided it was gonna work out ,I cut it in half so it wouldn't be so tall. The only drawback I have is if your used to a moori quick and are going to a Kamui Black, then you need to get a Kamui Black medium, because in my opinion the Kamui Black hard is a little firm as I tend to miscue more often than normal on extreme cases such as power draw shots and such.

Its the latest and greatest thing like the mooris used to be. Ive hit with them and they hit well. I say jump on them and ride the fad long and hard while it lasts.
