Kamui vs Milk Duds

I just re-shafted 4 shafts for two cues, 2 with Kamui SS and 2 with Elkmaster Milk Duds Soft.

They both feel very good and somewhat similar, Playability wise Kamui's felt a little "Stickier" in a good way..IMO, but is it worth paying 3-4 times the price for Kamuis? Do layered tips last longer and what are the other benefits? eBay has Kamui SS around $20 each and Milk Duds between $5-$7 depending on quantity.

Basically I'm wondering even though its obviously a quality product, am I paying for the name and advertising $ Kamui spends or is it simply much better then the other tips out there..Moori, Tiger, Porper, Super Pro and Le Pro included.

Well, of course there is the problem of buying discounted Kamui's and knowing whether you got authentic or not - but let's assume your's are the real deal. The problem I had with Kamui Black SS's was that they hardened up prematurely - like after only 4-5 hours of play. When I posted here asking about that, I found others had experienced the same problem.
I don't mean to rain on your parade, and I really hope your experience is better, but it is something to watch out for.
I still think Tom Hay's UltraSkins are the top tip available right now. But to each his own.
My 2 cents,
Gary

kamui browns

Try the kamui browns if you havent imo they are much better and dont harden up. I use a brown med and tried a blak med and it was alot harder and took more effort to get table length draws. If you like milk duds also try a blu elf. I put one on and expected it to be junk but its not bad, kinda like a layered milk dud maybe a hair hader though.
