anyone know if any booths are likely to have these? i'm shopping for a new cue &/or shaft and would sure like to try one. or if anyone here has one i could try out for 5 minutes?

do many of the vendors have a table you can hit a few on, hopefully With chalk? i'm guessing yes on Predator and the like, no on the smaller and custom companies?

i just started playing 14.1 again last year after decades away from it, and already very hopped up about SBE!
 
Katana shafts

As you may already know, these shafts are a product of Cuestix International. I checked the line-up for the SBE and didn't see them listed, which surprises me a little. Since they are a wholesaler, there will likely be someone there that has them. They are nice shafts and worth trying out if you get the chance. They have lower deflection than a standard shaft, but not as low as a Predator. We call them 'Predator light'. Since they are not hollow at the tip end they have a more solid feel/sound than a Predator, and are easier to adjust to from a standard shaft. Several of our players use them, including the 2 most avid 14.1 players. Have a great time at the SBE!

and no, i didn't know the Cuestix connection; still learning the lay of the land, so to speak, after so many years away.

Medford, OR, eh? my girlfriend has family in Ashland, will have to stop in next time we fly out there!
