Katrina and the pool community

How about a benefit charity tournament? I am sure I can get space donated. I will be willing to get it set up and going.

Eydie, that sounds like a great idea. I wonder if the US Open will do anything? I believe they took up a collection for Shelby when Tony passed away. Maybe they'll do something this yr... at least set up a booth to take donations to send to one of the charities...
 
Although I am a Canadian rather than an American, I have made donations to help. Americans have always been the first to help others whenever there is a crisis in the world. As a member of the pool community, I believe it is also a great chance for us to show the world that we care as pool players.

If any of you would like to do a charity tournament (the US Open or some other tournament), I would be more than happy to donate a X Breaker ($350 of value) as a raffle.

I can be reached at the Xtreme Billiard Concepts, Inc booth in the US Open. I will be showcasing X breakers.

Please let me know if there is anything else any of you can think of.
