Are these cues any good? Everytime I check ebay, the guy has like 20 cues for sale. It's kind of annoying because I see them so often. They don't look like they are quality cues to me, but you never know. Has anyone seen or hit with one?

Kc cues

I bought one of the birdseye low end cues about 8 months ago for 50 with shipping. Nice cue for the price it is a good starter cue at a really good price. It hit really good and was made fairly well.

I bought one quite awhile ago. Figured I'd use it for a player while I was on the road....and keep the nice ones at home.

For the money (63 bucks), it's not too bad. Better than the chewed up house cues...but not by much. I wouldn't put it on par with a Player's cue....but it'll do the job.

I had the stainless joint one....but I do hear that the big pin cues play well.

I've bought several

They are decent cues for the money, but nothing really special. The flat-faced models play better IMHO that the stainless steel joint models. I will say that the guy who sells them (Jim Shao) is a real standup guy. I once got one of his cues with a crack in the ferrule and he offered to refund my money without me even sending the cue back. Check his feedback on eBay.

Last year a very generous poster donated 3 of the Birdseye cues to our senoir center. I love shooting with them, the construction was perfect, nice SS joints, they have a great hit and feel to them. As another poster said, Jim is a standup guy. One of the shafts was a little out, so we sent it back and he replaced it no charge. I am saving up for a KC-3.

I purchased the wrapless sneaky pete model for $35 + $15 S&H and for the price it is a good deal. I didn't like the tip and wood is flawed but for the price you can't expect too much. Basically put a new ferrule and tip on it, and it's good to go.
