KD Cues Valley Forge Preview

That skull cue is a trip! When I heard about it I was skeptical, but the artist's talent is evident. A one of a kind cue that should play superbly. Stop by booth 100 at Valley Forge and try a Kent Davis cue out. See for yourself what the radially laminated forearm contributes to how the cues look and play. Thanks for the photos Eddie--your birdseye purpleheart KD cue looks great.

Those cues are very nice. The skull cue is a very old form of art called Stippling. It is done by tiny dots used heavily and lightly in areas to create the shape. Most stippling drawing do not have a regular drawing to go by , they are all free hand done. I only know this due to I have done this for years , making my oldest daughter a unicorn drawing when she was a baby, she is now graduating from high school.
Very unique to see it done in cues, nice work.

The artist could only work on the cue for about 2-3 hours at a time. He was too tired mentally and physically to work on it more than that. I also didn't realize that pen and ink on a round object has a different perspective! There was also no erasing and he could not smear his recent work. I hope many of you stop by and see the exceptional detail on this cue. You can read some more about the artist and the cue at the SBE. I really like the 3rd cue from the left. I'd like to see some close ups of that one.
