Now first off I know this isn't rocket science but figured I share. :D

Recently ordered some cues and they came in a plastic bag with a seam down the middle to separate shaft from butt. I cut along the seam to make a small bag for the shaft.

Then I cut the bag smaller about 27 inches long.

I put the shaft in the plastic bag and put the shaft in my case

Cool!! I just clean my tip. Its a cue case, it will get dirty.:o

Thanks Rick.

True. LoL... I usually put my shafts tips up but I've had this in my case for about a month and it's still working. :).

Simpler method?

I simply wipe off the shaft AND the tip after playing, so that NO chalk ever gets inside my case. No loose pieces of chalk in pockets either, always in a closing chalk holder.

I have a friend that puts what looks like little minature rubbers on his tips before sliding them in! No kidding!

I just wipe chalk off the tip before i put it away. My main shaft is over 20 years old and still very clean. But what ever works. I have about a hundred of those bags. Maybe I'll give it a try.
