Anyone have ideas on drills or tips on identifying head movement or ways to ensure head stays still/down while practicing both alone or with a friend??? Thanks much!!!

If you aren't already using a pendilum stroke, try it. I have found that most people who raise up out of their shot are using their whole arm, which causes shoulder movement that can push the head up.
Also, when you finish your stroke, make sure you freeze in position for a second or two.

If your Personal Eye Pattern is faulty, your head will move in the middle of your shot......SPF=randyg

chicagomike...Great advice here from pooltcher and randyg. Here's a NO-FAIL (although last resort) option...fishline and treble hooks (the fishing line forms a loop around your head...and the hooks go under your...well you get the idea!). You'll only stand up ONCE! :D Problem solved...of course this may well lead to some additional problems unrelated to your pool stroke!

All kidding aside, you might benefit from a complete video analysis of your stroke process, to see when, where, why, and how you move your head. Your PEP (Personal Eye Patten) can be worked on at the same time. I travel to Chicago frequently. If you're interested, PM me.
