Keeping the streak alive

Well I had a good match last night. Played one of my former team mates. I had a streak of 21 consecutive wins going into last night. It was a battle the 1st 2 games but I prevailed. On the 3rd game I broke and ran out on him keeping the streak going at 24. We play 3 sets with 5 players per set. I also own the top average of the league now. :):)

So what's the longest streak you had? I think this is my personal best to date.

Anything above 20 is awesome. I've seen 28 before and heard of something in 40's.

I once won 75 games in a row before I knew how to play well when I was 18. It took about 6 1/2 hours on a Saturday afternoon in the commons area of our dorm. I was challenged by everyone in the place it seemed but one guy stayed around the whole time trying to beat me. I quit a winner, sick of the game for days and that guy begged me to not quit...begged me. I had no idea what I had done. Since then, my league high is 21 or so, I forget exactly.

Keep it going, man....I'm rooting for ya.

In the early '70s I held a challenge table for five hours, didn't keep track of the games.

In 2005, I had a streak of 43 game wins in a row in an 8-ball league, and 44 in a row the following season.

i have kept the table from the time i got there till the time they close in a few bars. that aint saying much, you know the level of most bar players.

as for league play...8 in a row is my best.
that is in both 8 and 9 ball as i play both twice a week.
 
Well, it's been another 2 weeks and I'm still going, up to 27 now and next week we play the 2nd weakest team in the league so I might just see 30.
 
In college I once beat a guy eight racks in a row before I quit on him.

Doesn't sound like much but we were betting double-or-nothing on each rack.

I never did get that money.
