Keeping your cue case dry

I am looking for a way to keep my cue case dry this upcoming rainy season. I prefer to ride my bike wherever and whenever I can, including down to the pool room. I have no qualms about riding in the rain, but I do however want to keep my case dry. Golf bags generally come with a rain cover, so I tried to look for something similar for a cue case, to no avail. Trash bags are a little too tacky and are generally too big to use. Ponchos blow around too much in the wind. Does anyone know of any products that can be used for this purpose?

The newer umbrella type folding chairs have draw string 'sleeves' made of either nylon or a canvas type material. I think they would be perfect but you might want to spray the outside with 'Scotchguard' to make them a bit more water 'proof'.

Good Luck with your efforts,

Or...go to any upholstery shop...they could probably stich together a backpack design made from naugahyde, or maybe waxed canvas that would fit your case perfectly.

(edit) I'd think a shop specializing in boat upholstery would know more about weatherproof materials.

Those folding captains chairs usually come with covers for them...you might be able to try that. Take out the chair, put in your case and away you go. :)

We can make you water-resistant bag for your case based on the dry-bags that river rafters use. Should be enough to keep your case dry in all but really heavy downpours and possibly even then.

$75 shipped, black nylon.

No pix, I have to create it but I know exactly what to do and I will water test it first.

Will come with a shoulder strap or backpack straps for using on the bike.

I don’t think that any of such cue case cover would be available in the market. I think you can get some custom made water resistant bag as a cue case cover in which you can keep your cue case to save it from rain.

This sounds like a wiiner to me...

You can get one of the canvas case travel bags and coat it with some of the tent waterproofing. Sterling sells them.

I agree. And, it gets water-tested (not to be confused with waterboarded ;) ) before leaving the factory.

I can attest to John's workmanship in making custom solutions like this. They hit the nail on the head.
