I ordered this a little over a month ago and received it very very fast. Keith is a GREAT guy to work with. Answered all of my annoying little questions, and gave me updates the whole way along the time.
I threw a custom length and a very low tip mm request at him and he came back at me asking what diameter I wanted the handle, butt, joint, balance.. I only asked for two things and he was willing to go the extra on the whole damn thing.
As far as his shafts go.. I didn't really understand what my friend Justin on here was talking about when he said Keith has a special way of turning his shafts and how different his taper is until I held it. Just holding it I knew that this shaft was going to be ridiculous compared to the other standard maple shafts I've had/played with. Ridiculous in a good way that is.
I see a lot of people talk about wanting/liking a stiff cue. If you aren't playing with a shaft of Keiths you aren't playing with a stiff shaft. Not a dead feeling, but holy sh!t this thing is stiff.
If you're looking for a great cue at a very reasonable price Keith is where I would go. I'm already talking to him about another one and thinking about two or three. This cue is amazing.
I am still possibly going to get an OB2 made for it if I can get a really white blank for him to finish for me to match the maple just because I'm so used to the ob2 and I love it so much I'm not sure if I could go back to a regular maple shaft but if there's ever gonna be a shaft to make me go back, this is it.
The wood he chose for such a simple low end sneaky pete is pretty outrageous too. I was expecting some decent straight grain maple and a decent piece of ebony but the grain in the ebony and maple is just fantastic. He couldn't have matched the shaft color up any better.
Overall I absolutely LOVE this cue if you couldn't tell.
I really wish I had a better camera to capture what I was trying to capture here...
Going from top to bottom the top is a house cue, the middle is a Keith Josey with an OB2 and the bottom is Keith Hanssens sneaky pete he made me. Look at how similar the color is from the house cue and the sneaky. The people I've encountered so far literally had no idea it was a custom.
