I had one back in the '70s. Sold it and my cue to a friend when I "retired" for the first time in 1987.

yeah i figured it was from that timeframe. i am suprised there is not more information about these cases as they look very collectable. probably just a small leather shop that made these for a little while. anyway thanks for the reply, jeff

I know someone who may be able to help. He's in the leather trade business. Has been for years. Semi Retired now. Every thing from shoe leather to leather wraps for cues and cases.
I might see him tonight. No promises that he knows.

No info, but I have this one with the copper name plate early 70's. I believe the embossed leather came later.

I didn't get a answer last night. He was playing golf and I had leagues. There is a second person I can ask. He's a collector. Might see him Thursday.

Mike Kelly is still around . He is good friends with Bob Runde. He made cases for Bob back in the 80s.

thanks for the help, i knew there would be somebody that knew something about these cases on here. i am still suprised there is not much to be found on google.

I installed carpeting in Mike's home when he lived in Menomonee Falls Wi. back in the late 70's. Super nice guy. He made a beautiful case for me. A few years later I left it in a restaurant along with my Mcdermott cue that was inside it. I was just sick about it. Needless to say I never got it back. I heard he frequents a pool room in Kenosha. I'm in the process of hunting him down with hopes of getting a case made.

Kelly case

I believe Mike might play with Bob ,s one-pocket bunch on thursdays or saturdays in Racine.
