Hey all,

Just wanted to tell everyone how nice Kelly Fisher was to the people attending the tournament at Babineau's in Cary, NC. She spent a lot of time talking with people and doing autographs and photos and seemed to enjoy it as much as the people around her. I took my son (13) there to watch a couple of sets and she was very gracious to us and seemed to really enjoy chatting with both him and I.

I'll tell you, I was very impressed with both this lady's game and attitude towards the fans around her.

That's awesome. Do you know when another famous pool player will come to the raleigh, durham, cary area? I really want to go see a match or something.
 
I really don't, but if you are from the area you can check with some of the different room owners around. They should know whats going on.

Were do you play at?

I believe the WPBA will have a tournament with all the ladies playing in Rocky Mount early next year.

Nice to read something positive. We talked very briefly to Kelly and Val Finnie last summer in Peoria in the hallway of the hotel. We wished Kelly luck and they were both very gracious and professional.

Val Finnie is a regular reader of the posts in the AZB forums.Kelly lost some weight and she looks fanatastic.:cool:

I agree 100% about Kelly Fisher. I met her at the IPT in Vegas, and she was genuinely friendly and gracious, took time to chat, signed autographs, and posed a couple of times for photos with me. I had a wonderful time at the IPT event, seeing and meeting many of my favorite players for the first time... but the highlight for me was meeting Kelly! She is a definitely a class act.
