I met Kelly Fisher tonight at Irish Cue in Lake Norman NC. She's really classy and really nice. Unfortunately I didnt get to play her as she had dinner arrangements after helping a few people with their game.

I got to talk to her for a bit. I told my friends when I found out shes in the charlotte area and they asked me what I would do if i met her at a pool hall and I responded "Heck I'll give her the 8 for 10 a game" in a joking way being a smartass :D Well tonight I went ahead and told her the story of me being a general smartass and what i said and asked if she would play. She said she would love to but she already has arrangements but will when she sees me again.

She was very nice and personable and i got a couple pics with my crappy camera phone. I'll post em on my blog whenever I get around to it.

I was really excited. I'm a big fan of hers and bought my break stick because of it's hype but it was finalized after she beat allison fisher and got 2 9ball breaks. My girlfriend breaks the way she does because of her as well. So to actually meet her was pretty damn cool. Hopefully I'll get to play her some if I can find her again. I looked to see if she had a website but didnt see one.

Anyway thought I would share.

Kelly is one of the best people on Earth. She is very personable, quick witted and light hearted. And she plays damn near perfect.

Book a lesson sometime, you wont' regret it.

There isn't much to add to that post. I haven't seen Kelly in a few months (a couple of broken ribs have limited my getting out much lately), but did chat with her on the phone for a few minutes this week. She had just returned from the latest WPBA event and filled me in on how it went. Imagine going undefeated in a pro event, and then dropping the final game in a hill-hill match with Allison. Most of us would be thrilled. Not Kelly! She was a little frustrated in not winning it all. She expects nothing less than perfection in her game, and works very hard at it. The fact that she is a great person as well as a great player is a nice bonus.

BTW, giving her the 8 won't make any difference if she never lets you get to the table! ;-)

Oh I'm sure I'll get to the table after making her feel guilty and she'll let me break at least once :D

In regards to the lesson comment.. where would I find her webpage at? I dont see anything of the sort. I was looking for it before posting here but couldnt find anything.
