FYI, I just posted a new video that demonstrates how to master the classic 2-to-1, rolling-ball, through-diamond kicking system. I show details for how to adjust your aim, when necessary, including how to use benchmark-shot shifts and 2-to-1 pivots. I also demonstrates other important effects related to kicking accurately. Check it out:

Content:
0:00 - Intro
0:41 - Sidespin Effects
1:17 - 2-to-1 Pivot vs. Parallel Shift
3:03 - Aim Adjustment
3:40 - Shift-and-Pivot Technique
5:29 - Wrap Up

As always, I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions, complaints, and requests.

Enjoy!

Kicking is a tough lesson. You simplified the system nicely.

Thank you. My last video on this topic was confusing, so I worked a little harder to get it right this time (I hope), along with covering a few other important effects.

For me
i find the closest 2:1
i parallel shift
then just aim at the half way point
seems to work for me
where would that break down?
great video dave

That would work perfectly only if the CB is the same distance from both rails, but it is certainly better than just doing a parallel shift.
