Hi, i was wondering what might be the cause of exesive kicks.

my balls are brand new (1week old)
my cloth is brand new simonis 860 (3week old)
the table is in my diningroom, so no exsesive humidity or temperatures i think.

what causes kicks.. :confused: im getting a kick on 20% of my shots. i'm clueless. (could it be dust on the cloth? i havent vacuumed since i installed the table 3 weeks ago (waiting for the vacuum thingy to arive)

do you mean the ball is hopping while rebounding from the rail? If so check the nose height of the cushion and compare it to specs.

no, i mean kicks when the CB contacts the OB. The CB jumps in the air very quickly and the OB loses all the speed and angle and the CB loses all its action.
 
most folks would call this 'skid'? generally happens when a chalk 'dot' on the CB is at the contact point. there are many threads on this, search for skid.

short answer, to reduce, hit it firmer and/or with a little outside english. and keep the CB very clean (i wipe it down whenever possible, before breaking and on scratches for sure).

Problem in terms?

There may be a problem in terms. But if I understand the question correctly (which may not be the case). The cue ball may be larger in diameter than the object balls or the shooter may be elevating the butt of his cue which causes the cue ball to actually leave the surface of the table just slightly and contact the object ball slightly above center. Either of these situations will cause the Cue Ball to hop or jump on contact with the object ball.
