I met Danny B. and his significant other this weekend and I gotta say they are great people! We were able to talk around 15 minutes and I asked some questions about his upcoming movie. They have a director and are planning to shoot soon. He said that they are looking for a next summer release and they are talking to Jack Black to play the part of Danny.

He is very excited about this project and loves telling stories about matches he has had in the past. I hope they don't move the next IPT to Vegas (that was the rumor flying about). He is supposed to be here again next time they have the full tourney.

Hats off to all the people that I met this weekend and how nice it was to let the boys experience something so incredible. For anyone that wants to take shots at the IPT that was not there is ludicrous.

The movie is being produced by Lions' Gate studios so you might try there. Its still early though; I don't think the script is finished yet. Kid D was wearing a SAW II shirt for the recent skins game he won 17k in.

People might complain about his pace of play, but anyone who has met Kid D and doesn't like him is probably an a**hole. Great player, even better attitude.

My friend told me a story of Kid D signing an autograph for a little kid in Reno. Instead of just signing it and moving on, Kid D spent five minutes with the kid talking,joking,asked the kid what was going on in his life,etc...

Kid D is good people.

Thats exactly what he did for my little ones along with MsDelish :)

He said the script was done. (Recently) If they are looking to a Summer release they had better start shooting soon. I know post production takes at least 2 months (this is for a well funded movie).

I think realistically if they are going to produce something decent with good editing we are looking @ next December. Although his quote was a Summer release.

If anyone from the production reads this board PLLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAAAASSSE at least make whomever plays the part look like a pool player. No jumping up, No open bridges, No friggin stop shots, Shoot the balls in order etc. I know it is just a movie but I also know that it is more entertaining to people that know what is going on if it is credible.

Kid d is a kool as hell know him for a long time great guy .And great player..hope all thing go good for him ..
 
I like the guy aswell, I laid back and easy going....

As for the pace of his game...it's not fast but not the slowest I've ever seen...

There's nothing wrong with an open bridge so long as you have control over the cue. With a know nothing actor, they'll need a closed bridge to look compellingly accurate.

lol... I was gonna say the same thing. Makes it easier to see the CB without my big old hot dog hands getting in the way... :D

I don't need to say it but if you are used to holding silver spoons the cue tends to fly from your hand when you stroke... (BTW if you don't know what silver spoons is go back to watching the prince of bellaire) :)

Man it was pathetic seeing a supposed 13th ranked pro pulling up like that, but I still loved the movie, I get ramped up every time I hear the Monologue.
 
Kid Delish and his girl are probably among the nicest people anyone will ever meet in the pool world. I've met them only once, briefly, but see them at many tournaments, but I have to say, Miss Delish is a class act!
