I agree, I love the hit of my KQ.
Only downside of mine is that it uses a non-standard joint. So, no aftermarket shafts for me. The two that it came with are very nice feeling though. Long tapers, moderate deflection, good feedback. I'm not even sure which tips he used. They were made over 15 years ago and it's not my main player.
