Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my first real sponsor. They are a wonderful company, owned by Nate Miller, and they sell everything billiards related (cues, tables, gameroom supplies) at great prices. Congrats babydoll, I clicked the link just to give them some traffic, I like the gun on the main page but they need to add your pic there as their pro player, it would only improve the site. I didn't buy anything from them, but who knows, if I ever need something they sell I'll be sure to tell them you sent me.

Congrats! Speaking of pics, I noticed that you're on the cover of the latest Billiards Digest as "Next Big Thing". Yup, I think you are! Think of where you were 5 years ago compared to today. Nice!
 
Yikes...that's a lot to live up to. I haven't seen the magazine yet, but I am thoroughly surprised and flattered that they chose me for the cover. I can only say that Larry Busacca's fabulous photography played a role in the decision. Yep, 5 years ago I was struggling to get to the 2nd day of a qualifier....seems like yesterday.

I haven't actually seen the magazine itself yet, but some friends of mine won subscriptions to BD from Mike Panozzo through certificates, and on the certificates were pictures of 3 BD mags, one of which was you on the cover!

Congratulations JennBarretta. They do have pretty good prices. I would buy a couple of t-shirts if they had some color other than black.

How did your game elevate to the level it has in the past year? What do you attribute your success too?

Hey Curdog,

The single best thing for my game has been instruction. I have never been, and will never be without some kind of coach. Seek out the best and try to learn from them...in some cases these guys (and girls) spent a lifetime figuring it out, if they teach you what they know it will cut years off of your learning curve. I must say, I've been blessed when it comes to running into the right people.

I don't think I would wear a T-shirt with Jenn on the front. Guys looking at my chest would make me feel very uncomfortable.

This is an OLD thread but I'd like to get your thoughts about where your at now in your pool career compared to when you were struggling to get sponsorship.;)

Wow, have I learned a lot since then!

Now I have one of the best sponsors in the industry, Olhausen Billiards, and I've just inked a deal with Seyberts Billiard Supply and Predator Cues. I'm also in negotiation with another potentially big sponsor (I'll keep you posted once I sign on the dotted line) and this year I will also be working with CFR Productions

I've learned a lot about negotiating and signing deals! Unfortunately I've had some bad experiences, but from those I've learned how to get it right!
