I had the opportunity to play with a "Klein" cue a couple of months ago and was impressed enough to go out and purchase one. Both the cue I played with and the cue I now own hit absolutely fantastic and the finish on the cue is superb.:D I know he's in the new BlueBook but I don't hear his name very much.

What is the general opinion of "Klein" cues?

I have dealt with Steve and he gets 2 thumbs up, in my book, both for personality and quality. Great guy, in the game for the love, not the$.

i had 2 kleins i recently sold........overall i thought they were a good stick, although something about the hit just felt a little dead to me. It seems im finding i just dont like the feel of a wood to wood joint......i seem to lean ore towards piloted stainless, so i think its more me than the stick. I had a 60" klein i prob would have kept except it was just a tad too heavy for my tastes

I bought my cue directly from Steve. He happened to have a cue almost exactly as I would have spec'd it ready to go but we did chat for quite awhile and I was impressed. It sounds like he talks or talked to Krick has learned quite a bit from him. What is interesting is that I had not played with any wood/wood jointed cues that really "wowed" me. Other than Rick Howards and Omens, the others left me neutral. This Klein I have hits "jam up." Too bad I just keep buying and selling cues - it would be nice to keep the Klein for awhile.....just kidding:D

Being an older guy I have always preferred the hit of a SS 5/16-14 joint most likely because I grew up with them. With that being said, I have foundonly a few wood/wood jointed cues I like (Rick Howard & Omens) but most of them weren't my cup of tea. (This is a preference thing only!) Steve makes a great hitting cue that is finished off nicely. I bet he starts getting more recognition as time goes by.
