I talked to SVL and the limbsaver weighs .7 oz. not 7 oz as their website showed so balance should be easier than anticipated. Tell me a little about goncolo alves (guarina).Have you ever worked with it or one of it's sub species.I respect your opinion and thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge.

Yes, i have built several cues with goncola alves, many years ago. it machines very clean, and is pretty easy to work with.

The limb saver, is a hanger. it's also easy to attach and if the cuemaker is building a new cue and is going to use the limb saver, he or she can allow for the exrta weight in the butt, by moveing the balance a little forward. no trouble at all.
