Knockoff or vintage?

That cue was already discussed here in the forums, the owner had asked about it. It is likely from the early 1970's. Probably a Brunswick branded import judging from the numbers stamped on it. The initials were probably added by somebody I think. You can see it is possible the veneers are not real, they may be flaking off. Don't know about the splices. It's a mildly interesting piece to me.

The term "vintage" is actually vague IMHO so I will leave it up to you to decide if the term fits.

I love the word "vintage"... It's turned several old $10-$25 bikes into $100-200 Vintage Road bikes!
The ambiguity of the word makes buying anything described by its use a gamble

Yup......lovely marketing word.

For a cue like this, it's probably worth in the range asked to somebody. You never know though....sometimes things get crazy. There may be somebody out there that knows exactly what it is and just has to have one.....then there is somebody else that knows it and has to have it......and suddenly the value goes up a few hundred as they bid against each other.

Then there are the people who think they know what it is....they have a little knowledge......very little.......they buy it.....and then it gets relisted in a couple weeks when they find out it isn't a Rambow or Spain or Balabushka or whatever they thought it was.

Always fun to watch. I have little doubt it will sell.
