This kind of post gets my attention and I'm glad you wrote it.
I don't know where you're located in FL, but for example: Do you have a Boys & Girls Club of America by you? Any youth groups at all?
How about a University or a community college?
How about any league directors in your area, BCA, APA, VNEA or TAP?
How about calling MWR's on military bases in FL and inviting members to come, they ALL know what pool is, they have tables on their bases-
let them know there is a Team USA they can rally behind once a year!
Invite them to a tournament- give away a few copies of The Rack, Professor QBall, Inside English or In Stroke magazines. Free magazines
Buy some balls or offer to help pro's by inviting people, groups, and media to events and help arrange signings.
They will not show up if they don't know we exist!
THIS IS EVERYONE IN THIS FORUM'S JOB!!!

You're right of course, but I'm 76 YO and in poor health. If I could do half of those things I'd still be out looking for action. I did give 7 two-piece cues, a bar box and 6 sets of ball + some books and DVD's away to a local youth center, a few years ago. Johnnyt

Very inspiring to see their approach, and certainly one easy enough to emulate and apply here in the US, even as large as we are.
