the year was 1999. the venue was the prestigies wolf den at the most beautiful casino and high tech hotel on earth, the Mohegan sun. the tournament was the most exciting in the world the INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE OF CHAMPIONS. or I.C.O.C. for short. kung fang lee of tawain who had been the champion the year before in 1998, returned in 99' to try and defend his title champion of champions. he did not, francisco bustamante won it. but here is what i wanted to say. kung fang lee's break was the greatest ever by any human!!! everytime without fail, and those who don't beleive me, go to the tape! everytime, the cue ball would drop dead in the center of the olhausen champion pro table, while the object balls went a million miles an hour in every direction, crissxcrossing, up and down diagonal, it was like people running out of a burning movie theatre! all of this kaos, and the cue ball would just sit in the center of the table, looking at all the action in wonderment! he did this on every break! and of course made at least a ball,incredible, to this day, the most effective and perfect breaks i ever witnessed. p.s. the next year 2000 he was invited back, and his break sucked!! GO FIGURE! i guess that's what we mean when we say, his break was "working for him" meaning at that time!
