Thank you for the link. I would love to know who thought up the idea of pool players dressed like that...and bow ties to boot. I'll bet none of them were every any good pool players. I would love to see golfers and bowlers in the same outfits...lets see how far down their games go. FN unreal. Johnnyt
They were competing side by side with their carom and snooker colleagues. My guess is all billiard sports participants had to have the same dress code. It would look very bad if they had used just a polo T-shirt in pool event, while using full dress code in other two events.
Besides, pool players do or did dress like that from time to time. Older Mosconi cups and older Challenge of Champions, some Asian tournaments come to mind. I wouldn't mind seeing World Pool Championships use full dress code.
Seeing DCC photos of players wearing jeans, headphones, baseball caps, shirts with signs...now that's awful...
