Luke's Sports Bar and Grill in Sherman, Texas will be holding a Ladies Only 9 Ball tournament on June 26th.

$10 entry

  • Sign up starts at 7 pm
  • Play starts at 8 pm sharp
  • True double elimination with races to 4 on winner's side & 3 on the loser's side... adjustments may be made according to number of players
  • Luke's will add $5 per entry to pot
  • 100% payout
  • 8 foot tables

If there's a good turnout, Luke's will begin having this once a month.

There isn't enough make up in all of Texas to help you out Kennan. :D

And gives me a mental picture I would rather not have... I've just thought of all our guys dressing up. It's not a pretty sight.

I think it might be worth $10 to see Captain K in a dress... I got one you can borrow Kennan!
 
What do we do with the children?

Are there enough tables here for the men to go off and do their own thing while the ladies do battle? I have to find some incentive for my other half to go with me.

We've got 10 8-footers that we'll be playing on (hopefully we'll need them all!! :p), 2 9-footers (one Diamond, one Gold Crown) and a lovely snooker table!

There should be plenty of room for the fellers!

hey... I just took a snapshot of googlemaps for that... but if you go to http://maps.google.com and put in 2700 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX then zoom in to the "street view"...

You can see a truck that looks like mine! bet it is...

that could be creepy...

The first monthly Ladies Only 9-Ball Tournament at Luke’s (Sherman, TX) was held on June 26th and we had only 8 players, but lots of fun! 3 were local, Jerri & Heather (the owner) plus me... The other 5 were from DFW area. Half way through the tournament, Doug (the other owner) added $10 per player instead of the $5 we originally posted.

7th/8th - Heather Wells / Ann Malone
5th/6th - Jerri Winnett / Sam Holliday
4th - Jana Preston
3rd - Sonja Boles $30
2nd - Sandra Adams $60
1st - Jennifer Sherman $70

Jennifer won the winner's bracket and her and Sandra split so they could all head back south. I had $80 to 1st, $50 to 2nd, but they decided how they wanted to split.

We will have one next month, I just need to see which day. I'll let ya'll know!!
