Therese Klompenhouwer of Belgium, the current Ladies World Champion, is scheduled to compete in the Carom Tour Open event at Carom Cafe that is to be held from Aug. 4 thru Aug. 8. Therese dethroned former World Champion Orie Hida of Japan. She comes from a family of billiard enthusiasts and averages about .950. Also making the trip from Europe will be tournament regular Bert Van Manen.

Javier Teran from Ecuador and Rodolfo Covarrubias from Mexico are also on the list of entrants.

Former United States champions Pedro Piedrabuena, Sonny Cho, Miguel Torres, Hugo Patino, and Mazin Shooni will be vying for the title, as well as Carom Cafe owner Michael Kang, Carom Cafe manager Min Jae Pak and Young Gull Lee.

I will be back with updates as more news becomes available.
