Larry Nevel not at BCA Open?

I watched his guy plow through the fields of two regional tournaments lately, never losing a match. And someone told me he won the DCC All Around title last year. He's one of the most talented players I've seen, with an extraordinarily complete package of skills. So why isn't he in the BCA Open tournament?

Not the amateur event! I mean the pro event running now in Vegas, whatever they are calling it (enjoypool.com Championship, or something to that effect).

isn't it an invite or 1st 64....i thought some others would also be in it

It is indeed an invitational event, I believe 32 of the spots are reserved for international players which would explain why some of the better American players aren't in it.
