I had lasik 3 years ago and its really worth it!!!!!
I think you might be a little young, my dr told me he wouldnt touch anyone under 25.
I think it would help your game as far as sharpness.
Some of the side effects for me are smoke tends to bother my eyes as well as ceiling fans tend to dry them out a little, when they get dry they get a little less sharp.....
if you are serious the dr down here is considered one of the best his name is dr updegraff , he is a little pricey at 5k but it was worth it for sure....

I went to the eye docters the other day and he told me that I am a candidate for laser eye surgery. I was wondering if anyone has had it done and if they liked it or not? And how it effects your pool game? Or if I should wait until I am older?

Best reason to get lasik (stands for Laser ASsisted In situ Kelatomileusis) surgery done:

Efren had it after a dismal showing in the 2006 (or was it 2005?) WPC and a few months later won the biggest prize money in pool (in a little known tournament called the IPT or something)

My brother had one and now he has 20/20, and that's not hindsight vision.

Lasik was the absolute BEST MONEY I'VE EVER SPENT on anything in my lifetime! Awesome results both in and out of the pool hall! I had my surgery in 2003 and I'm still seein' like a hawk!

It's a bargain at twice the price!
