Lathe for general cue maintenance?

What would you all suggest for a quality lathe for doing general maintenance? Probably be more tip replacement than anything?

Also would a full size metal lathe be any good for this? Like a 12 or 13x40?

I started out just wanting to replace tips and clean and wax the cues. I now take CF blanks and make shafts for my cues. Would I like a full size Cue Smith instead of my mid size? Hell yeah, but space and money trump everything else. As I’ve stated before, buy your last cue lathe first; unless you want to build cues, then you’ll probably end up with more than one lathe.

This is what he is talking about:

As far as a 13/40 Big Metal lathe goes for general cue maintenance. it is like bringing a back hoe and dump truck to move a wheel barrel full of dirt. Yes it will be fine for the job but might be a little overkill.
