Lathe motor for sale

A good friend of mine that owns a storage unit gavel this motor.

It's a Emerson motor that works very well. It also has step down gears for increase torque if need be.

I don't know what to do with it since I don't know how to retrofit this to anything but I bet some one can use this for a project.

80$ obo for the motor.

I haven't the slightest clue what you could use this motor for. It would almost HAVE to have a step down gear reduction since it is ionly 1/12 HP (unless I am seeing the label wrong or that is a misprint), not even close to the 1/2HP that is used on the Taig lathes. Looks interesting though...

I don't see that as being a lathe motor but rather an AC gear reduction motor.
The motor is stated to be 1725 RPM but after reduction it's probably closer to 40 RPM.

Yea I don't know to much about it. Just plugged in to make sure it works.

Maybe it would be good for a spray rack. The torque is huge.

If it does not sell I think I am going to build a hog rotisserie. Yummmmm
