lathe tools or scrap metal?

I believe those "brass tubes" are for making bearings. Invaluable to someone who needs them and knows how to use them.

i was watching e-bay for a week or two, and similar items are selling pretty much by weight at scrap value and surprisingly even less. rather than try to find someone who will actually make something out of them, it's just a 3 minute ride to the scrap yard for the same money, no commissions to e-bay, no shipping costs to the usps.

The only other suggestion I would make, is to see if there are any old fashioned machine shops in the area. They may be interested in what you have.
 
I appreciate the offer on the 1/2" piece but it isn't big enough. After measuring his shaft, it is 13.25mm so I would need at least a 9/16" piece to use on his cue.

What town are you from and how many pounds of brass do you have.

jersey city, and brass is about 25 pounds. let me know if you want it because i'm heading for the scrap yard with it pretty soon.

still have most of the tools and cutters. brass is gone.

local guys, jersey and nyc area , i'm 5 minutes off the nj turnpike,anyone interested?
 
i've got all kinds of industrial machinery, all kinds of lathe tooling and cutters and i need to get rid of this stuff soon.

a lot of woodworking stuff as well, stanley planes and more.
