Have any of you had the opportunity to compare Pechauer's LD shaft to OB/predator/z/314 ??

Pechauer come at a significant lower cost and with 30" length option.

Thanks

I've played with all of those, for personal preference and how it suits my game, I liked the Pechauer one, but all were 29" except for the OB 1 plus which was 30". Pechauer had the least effect on the hit of the cue and had the least effect on the balance of the cue.

My favorite LD shafts are from Mike Webb though, for something like $220 he can make one for you to your specs and it has the same low deflection as anything out there with a ton more feel. Also the Players HXT is a good pick but to get a 30" one you need to get a blank and have someone finish it for your cue. It's not super LD like some, but to me it matches my game and I love the hit feel with it.

That's really good to hear. Especially since a Pechauer LD shaft cost a bit less than the competition. Im a tall player and ordered my JP01M with a 30" shaft and really feel comfortable with the extra inch. Its my first cue (new player) so I dont have much to compare it with. But it looks, sounds, feels and costs REAL good.

Thank you for taking the time and replying. Have a great week!

I ve played for 20 years with a standard meucci then i bought a Joss played for 6 years or so with a 13.25mm joss shaft and a tiger everest .The last 6 years i put a 314 predator on my joss and recently i took a z shaft which i still try to get used to.Bottom line which feel best for you
if you cant play or try any off them, pick a custom cue makers advice.
I personally liked the most the 314 ,but i still try to use the z cause it gives me the feel that i can make shots (and really do)that no other shaft can make me to trust.... to go for it,, but that is my personal opinion,so whatever you decide be sure to trust your choise and spend some hours at the table, the more you play the better you ll be !
