I posted a reply on the 'Muecci Ultimate Weapon' thread, but I think it may have been a bit off point there so & I thought this might be helpful here for the LD shaft techs & potential buyers. I think we ALL should start calling these shafts LOW SQUIRT SHAFTS because they are actually HIGH DEFLECTION shafts that reduce CB squirt.
Anyway, look at the Meucci chart & notice that in stock tests the Adam's Balabushka came in 3rd. best for lower amount of CB squirt. Then with the Muecci black dot tests it finished 2nd. best with a 188% improvment. This high amount of improvement can be misleading if taken incorrectly.
Other cues did not improve so much. So, the question is why. The answer I believe, can be found by watching the test of the Balabushka on Muecci's site. When the stockshaft hit for the Bushka was so good, Mr. Muecci was rather shocked & commented that it must be a very well made butt.
So... was the Buska stock shaft that much better than the other stock shafts? I doubt it. Were the other stock shafts that much worse than than the Bushka? I doubt it.
But... it seems to me that it was the Bushka butt that ALLOWED one of the best improvements, along with the Fury I think. I believe that is why there is so much disagreement at times in the discussions of the relative improvment going to the 'LOW SQUIRT' shafts.' Is the improvemnt 'BUTT' dependent? I think the Muecci tests may have indicated such.
Should we be searching for the best low squirt butt along with the best low squirt shaft. Maybe so. What do y'all think? I'd suggest looking at the video on the Meucci site if anyone is interested in LOW SQUIRT.
