LD Shaft

I have never shot with nor felt the need for a low deflection shaft. Having said that and seeing so many of them out there I decided to bite the bullet and order one. I just sent a Olney Butt to Bob Danielson for one of his LD shafts. The cue is nothing fancy it is a Bloodwood cue no points etc. It is a cue I purchased from a member here to be my car cue. Not being a pointed cue I can't comment on Jeff's points but for an unadorned cue I am totally happy with it. The only kick I have is the tip and that has no bearing on Jeff or the cue. It came with a Milk dud tip which many here seem to like, I how ever have a tendency to miscue with it. It does how ever brake very well. I was tempted to change it but I will keep it as once I get the knew shaft I doubt I'll play it much. I am also having Bob change the wrap on the butt. I purchased it with a linen wrap and I am a leather fan. I purchased a Kangaroo wrap from Martin to be put on the cue. A personal FYI, for anyone that hasn't tried Kangaroo it's a sweet feeling wrap.

LD shaft

I have a Players cue with LD shaft. A well-made and good-playing cue but, like some others, I stopped using it mainly because of random miscues. It's not the tip, I tried various tips.

I shoot with ob and I love my ob low deflection shaft my game has done nothing but get better I'm sure u will like urs but I will say its gonna take time too get used too might drive u crazy at first but stick with it all of it will pay off in end

The great shafts that are available in this day in age can make any cue play awesome. Personally, I think that it has changed how people think of cue brands. When I started playing, there was a lot of variation between different makes in how they played but today, you just stick a Predator or OB shaft on anything and it'll play awesome. Granted, some people still have their preferences but I don't ever see cues today that play like crap the way some did 20 years ago.

shafts

Ive played with Predator 314s ,314-2s, 314-2 Fat and Z2 ...for me the Fat shaft has been the best for the predators

With the OB shafts ive only use the OB2 and I was really impressed with it..

And the new Katana shafts have the play between a 314-2 and Z2 but the solid hit of a standard shaft

Really they all play great and can help you ....maybe more of a mental thing since pool players are headcases lol but they can help with confidence when you can spin the ball effortless 3 rails

Hope this helped
