I have an idea for a league that would help players that are at a higher calibre than most league players, also players that live a far distance from a large city. My idea is to have a division in a larger city with an established charter that would be open to any level player. Have the division play 4 or 5 matches on a saturday once a month. Each match would count as one week of league. This would give players that live a good distance away from cities with good leagues the chance to play VNEA or BCA nationals with competitive teams.
It would also help the master and intermediate divisions get more teams involved in the national events. It may get the BCA master division going again (which I miss personally).
For example, I live in central alberta canada. There could be a league in maybe red deer or calgary that would have participants that can put together competitive masters teams. This would also give players from northern alberta, maybe saskatchewan oppurtunities to get their league time in if their not available to play every week with long drive.
Just an idea that I thought could make some traction with VNEA and BCA. Are there any areas in the US that this would help players in semi-remote locations?
P.S. obviously the division would need to be played in a pool hall with a sufficient amount of tables.
