League info. Belleville Ontario area

Not sure of leagues in Belleville, but if you don't mind a 45 minute drive, try Raxx in Kingston. All levels there and I hear there is one night is a bit sporty.

Thank you both for the info.

I came across Mr Zeds after I posted yesterday. I will have to check it out. Was told the weekly tournys are for a little more advanced players. But I like a challenge. So could be fun.

I spoke with Raxx in Kingston. They have no leagues starting again till fall. But now I know some details so will be able to move forward.

I am still new to the game. But trying to learn fast. Really loving it. I am sure I will find something.

Thanks again for the fast reply and great info. Cheers

The league in Belleville only has about 7 weeks left then it's off for the summer. So you are aware for next fall there is 2 Belleville leagues (8-ball Team, and a scotch doubles) and there is also a league in Trenton ontario which is more of a drinking league.

There isn't a weekly tournament anymore as there was never enough people showing up. There is how ever 1 and some times 2 monthly tournaments. One is normally handicapped (by games) and the other is an open type event, with only the entrance fee being handicapped. The open type will be held next on March 24/07 starting at 12:00pm with the cost to enter being from $10.00 to $200.00 plus a $4.00 Green Fee. The first open one we had was not a bad turn out at 22 players and there should be more for the next one due to me advertising a little better.

One other FYI if you are looking for billiard supplies or cues Peter who owns Mr Zed's is a great guy. Also I repair and sell cues starting at around $200.00 and up, just ask down town and they will direct you in the right place.

Hope to see you down town some time.

Regards,

I made a note to get the info to sign up for Fall. I will for sure. I am more interested in the league in Belleville. And gives me time to get a little better. I had heard the Trenton league gets a little crazy with the drinking. Not really looking for that. I am interested in a fun league. Even if a bit over my head with playing skills. Willing to lose to learn and get better. I will pop downtown soon and see about getting info on sign up dates. I don't want to miss out.

I circled March 24 on the calendar and will make every effort to get down to play. An Open Tourny may be better suited for me at my level.

Where do you advertise? I would be willing to put something up at Autosytems to help out. We have over 1000 employees now. So the boards get lots of notice.

Thanks for the cue info. I have a cue and until I get much better I will be holding off spending large sum of cash for anything better. Even thou with some of the awesome cues I have scene its tempting.
