Those who can't...

I know a guy who does that. I've known him for many years and he rarely runs a rack, but he claims to be a great instructor and has convinced many of this, - even giving lessons and clinics, etc.

You don't have to be a good player to be a good teacher, and vice-versa.

I'm not the best player on my team, but often I try to arrange it so I play the other teams strongest player. Even tho I dont play as well as a couple of my teammates, its not a huge difference, and I can usually grind better. I might not win, but I rarely get shut out (in APA that gives the opposing team an extra point) and that leaves my stronger players to play people who arent the best on the other team.

Not sure if thats "carrying" by your definition.

OP, play your best. If you dont, some guy like me will beat you, cuz he doesnt give up, even if he isnt as good as you. (Plus, you piss people off if they know you shoot better than you're doing. I want my opponents best.)

You are correct. On the other hand, just claiming to be a qualified instructor does not make one so...

I fully agree. Always play your best or don't play at all. To do otherwise is cheating when it comes to handicap league play.

Sometimes playing your best means you have to use strategies to win. Some strategies may require unorthodox play. Case in point, that whole thread about Corey's break....
