I believe all of us would love to see Pool and Billiards get half of the level of respect that Golf and tennis gets. I've noticed that Golf and Tennis both have one league system that governs all of Amateur play respectively.....The USTA and The PGA. Maybe we should take note, Instead of the BCA, APA, Pot 'o Gold, Valley, and others.....we need one. OR, Maybe one for big table play and one for bar table leagues. I had only played in APA and BCA until last year when a friend of mine put together a Valley league team. During the Regional tournament, One of my team members was playing and his opponent was bridging over the Eight ball....stroked his ball in the hole and the cue ball came back and made contact with Eight ball. This was the game that decided who advanced to the finals of the winner's bracket. I travel and play a lot and told everybody that I have never seen where this wouldn't be a foul. They bring out the rule book and do some searching and they find that it wasn't a foul by what they found. I was in total shock. If we had one League Operating System......Different Rules would never be a problem. And, It might put us on the right road to sucess for Pool.
