Does anyone know of any 8ball leagues in the Honolulu, Hawaii area? I think there are a few 9 ball but I have not heard of any 8 ball.

I am also looking for some weekly 8 ball tournaments. Bar tournaments are fine by me even if it does make me a banger. Any info would be appreciated but if you know what nights at each location and entry fee that would be even better. Not really interested in playing in the partners tournaments so that kinda rules out Top of the Hill. I am thinking about trying to get a small weekly bar tournament together down at Pigskins (next to FemNu). I don't work there or anything, just hang out there more than I should. LOL If you are interested, please let me know.

Thanks for any info.

Thanks

Thanks, but as far as I know Hawaiian Brain's only has 9 ball tournaments. I actually live right down the street from there. I can see the building when I look out the window of my apartment. I do appreciate the help though.

They recently had a change of ownership and I haven't been in since the new owner's took over. I need to go check it out and see if anything has changed. I also need to get off of the bar boxes and back on the 9'er (grew up on one) but I also like to have a drink or two when I shoot and they don't have a liquor license. :( No smoking either. :( Those two are brutal for someone that is used to shooting at the bars.

8 Ball Bar tourneys

If you don't mind driving North for a little while, the Shack in Mililani has tournaments every Friday and Saturday night. Usually 8 ball, BCA rules, occasionally a 9 ball tourney, played on bar tables. Friendly atmosphere with a $10 entry, starting around 6:30 -7:00. I believe the Shack in Hawaii Kai has the same offered on Thursday evenings.

If you feel like a little adventure, there is an 8 ball tournament at "Beaches" in Waianae every Wednesday night around 7:30 or so (hawaiian time, you know what I mean). Entry is $10.00 with an additional $1.00 for the eight-on-the-break pot. (optional). Good food, good drinks, and good people who like a little fun and pool.

Wont get into the smoking thing as there is already a thread for that but Brian's isn't bad under the new ownership.

I know you said 8-ball but they do have 2 9-ball tournaments weekly and the $10k (handicapped) in May (20th I think).

I have a pretty crazy work schedule but manage to make it up there a couple nights a week and would be willing to to get the other 6 balls on the table if you want.

PM me and I will give you my cell #.

I dropped the $60 for it, I really dont like the "race to 2" format but you get $60 free table time for early sign up so it is basically free anyway.

Not to mention if you havent played in a tournament there before you start out as a C class player.

Makes for some good odds.
