For a background, just go pickup a solid color blanket, or your fabric of choice from the fabric store. No need to spend more than $10-$20.

Thanks! The photos I took today are definitely the best I've taken to date. I'll definitely head to the fabric store this weekend and pick something up.

I think I'm going to look into making a makeshift light box for indoor pics. I bought a couple of hot lights years ago but wasn't ever able to figure out a way to get good diffuse light. I'm going to keep everything super cheap though and just work on technique and whatnot. I want to start taking photos of other stuff as well and am thinking I'll take my camera to my next league night.
 
Something without Missouri Tigers logo would be ideal :eek:

I was going to say that you can't help where you go to school at but then that's not entirely accurate lol. That said, I wish you all the luck in the Big 10 and congrats on the volleyball championship!
