Broke one of the webbing on one and need to replace sometime. They sewn in or riveted. Connelly table if that matters. Got the table used and I doubt they where ever treated. I did but when installing then back on got a little excited stretching one.
Natural leather would look good and I wouldn't have to dye it. If I did I would touch up the tops as they have some worn marks.
