Both my cues have lizard-embossed leather wrap, and I love it. used to shoot with pressed Irish linen, which is all well and good, but I like the feel of the leather, personally. Easy to clean, looks good, and feels great. But it's a personal preference, IMO.

Just bought a Josswest with Cortland wrap a few months ago. Love the feel or maybe it is just the JW overall. The wrap has less of an impact to me though than other attributes. Have wrapless, leather, lizard, linen and cortland all have strengths and weaknesses.

Still looking for the one.

i busted out my Tad I used for years the other day, just for a change. Sometimes changing cues for a couple days seems to help me a bit-advice Jay gave me, he got from Efren.

Anyways, wow linen is the way to go, I have been using leather on no wrap now for the past year or there abouts. Tad is known for having among the best wraps, but after playing with linen the other night, i realized just how much nicer it feels than leather. Leather is a $$ maker for the cue dealers and makers, they make good $$$ on re-wraps from linen to leather-so its kinda been a fad IMO, not a bad thing it looks good but it just dosent feel as good to me. There is no right or wrong here, just preferance. on second thought nylon sucks-i remember the cues at K-Mart when i was a kid they had cues with shiny red nylon wraps they were horrible(but they did have screw on tips)
