Leather Wrap Jig

Anyone out there built your own jig/fixture for installing leather wraps? I have two cues that I want to put leather on, but I won't be doing it for a living, so I can't justify the $500 for some of the jigs on the market. Also, I need a source for the template for cutting the slight curved ends, but again, can't spend the money for the whole setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's about my luck. Missed it by that much!!! Thanks for the link on the template. Think I'm going to try my hand at building a little somethin somethin.
Many thanks!

Or, you can use paper and figure it out on your own. Assuming that your handle is a cone you can simply measure the top and bottom and plot those points. Connect the dots and you have template you can adjust from, make a slight overlap and you're good to go.
