Leather wrap vs irish linen.

I like leather wraps, but linen can be nice too if the cue looks better with it. The feel is very different and I do find a more solid feeling of weight with leather even if it has nothing to do with the weight it adds to the cue. The softness of linen gives a different character to the tactile feeling and the stroke you may prefer. Of course the leather will last longer and the linen will get dirty in time, but that's life....

Not sure but I would think that some leather like elephant ear or shark skin would be more dense than Irish linen. Love the feel of lizard and elephant wrap but the old Cortland wrap is just as good depending on the cue aesthetic. If the cue plays good...doesn't matter what kind of wrap is on it.

Regards,
Duc.

Linen is heavier than leather.

Both weigh in at around 1/2 ounce so there is virtually no weight difference.
Which is better can be argued until the sun goes down and neither party convince the other.
