I have a question to all cue makers who visit this forum:
Is it true that leather wraps get smelly after a while, specially if your hands tend to get sweaty during play?
Thanks.

I think someones been using their feet instead if their hands to stroke the cue....LOL:) :) :) I've had and installed many and never heard of a leather wrap smelling like anything other than smoke.............Dave

Perhaps ... if the leather was not cured properly.
Think of a leather belt ... does it get smelly after a while?

I was gonna use leather shoes as an example but decided no . <grin>

If your hands get sweaty during play clip a towel to your leather belt and use it often ... or dont bet so much LOL.

FWIW - ALL the gazillion or so Willie Hoppes came with leather wraps,
never heard a single comment about smelly.

Maybe somebody's wrap got wet
