Lee Heuwagen playing in Vegas

Heuwagen will replace Liu Wei in the NA Open.

The Chinese Government has rejected a travel visa for Liu Wei, so he has officially withdrawn from the IPT North American Open 8-Ball Championship. Wei was the winner of the qualification event held in Shanghai, China, just several weeks ago. Details about his VISA rejection are sketchy, but some points that were articulated from the Chinese Government stated that he has no significant ties to China in terms of wealth or marriage. Through his representative in China, Wei expressed sadness and disappointment in not being able to compete for China in this prestigious event.

Wei's replacement is Lee Heuwagen, who was the second alternate on the waitlist to play in the North American Open. Heuwagen played in multiple IPT qualification tournaments. He was the second of only two players to place third in two North American Open qualifiers, a performance statistic that landed him in the number two spot on the alternate list. Heuwagen was called yesterday and told the news that he would be competing in the North American Open. He was very excited to hear the news, though he did state that he was disappointed for Liu Wei's unfortunate circumstance.

Awsome, thank god hes is a great player and has tried really hard to get there. he is in my avatar box

It's pretty short notice to make it down to Vegas in two days. If he gets his break working he will be very hard to beat.

HEUWAGEN - Disgusting

To his fans, I agree Lee is a very good player. As human being he is nothing but a selfish jerk. If you were in Minnesota and watched lee play in the many wednesday tournaments held at shooters in burnsville, mn. you would see how he treats lessor players when they happen to beat him with a large spot, refusing to shake hands and berating them. Again I'll say say that I hope he loses EVERY match he ever plays. You will notice that I am not hiding my name. Jerry bessett (JMB) Remember this is MY opinion.

damn dude, i cant stop laughing. I am going have to call you up to post for me sometimes. I bite my tongue often as I see some of the heroes in a different light and I want to say what a POS they are but I cant pull the trigger. thanks for letting us know how you feel.

I havent seen lee as much as you have and I dont have quite the same opinion, but heres to you for having the balls to say what you did.

LOL. He really doesn't have a lot of fans.

I once stopped in Minneapolis and played him in a weekly handicapped tournament (at Billiard Street Cafe). I was a 4 and he was I think a 6-1. So he had to go to 6 and I had to go to 3. I won the flip. He racked the balls, and I snapped the 9. He gave a smirk, having no idea how I played but probably thinking he doesn't want anybody just going to 2. He racked the balls again, and I snapped the 9--same pocket. No smile, no joking, no acknowledgment of me... Now I'm on the hill. Once more Lee racks the balls and I break. There it goes... heading for the same pocket. Lee raises his stick up in the air like he's gonna whack it on the table. The nineball falls in the pocket. The stick is cranked...and then the cueball scratches.....

He took ball in hand and later missed the 7-ball, and I won. Still no acknowledgment. Man it would have been sooooo sweet....
