If they both win their next matches, they will play each other. That would be one of my most favorite matches to watch. The young lion and the old lion. :)

All the Phillipinos are comin' together in that bracket, aren't they.

That should be telling us something we already knew!;) :o

The matches

on the winner's side, at least, should all be very good matches, some may become classics in the future. Will Efren allow the 2nd tier to 1-up him???
Clearly, Bustamante is the greatest unrewarded player ever? Will this be his year? Will Shane VB cut through the crowd to the top? Will James Walden, a veteran roadplayer prove just how tough he can be? Will Parica be the oldest player to ever win the title?

This year is shaping up to be a pretty exciting finish!!! :D

I've never been to a pool tournament where I've gone there just to sweat the players. I've always donated my entry fee and feel that is the way to improve but there's something kind of exciting for me going to a tournament without obligation to play well or play at all. Since I won't have much on my mind, I can concentrate on trying to learn all I can from the players and their style of play. It's only for two days and like one of my buddies that is going to be there, "Joey, I know if we pump you full of coffee you can stay up for two days". I've abstained from any alcohol for two days now, not even a beer so I am ready to take my punishment.

Efren has to deal with Alcano before he gets to Corteza. I would love to see a match between Corteza and Reyes. It would make the trip for me.

Rafael Martinez is still in the hunt on the one loss side and he is one competitive guy. I think Rafael is on the right track and wish him much luck.

I am not going to get much sleep, so I guess I had better get off the computer and get packed. If I didn't have to play Jay H I would leave my cue at home but I opened my mouth so I guess I had better show up. :D

Orcullo isn't in the same bracket with Alcano and Reyes but is playing AZer Tony Crosby, THE SNIPER. Hope he shoots another one down but this guy Orcullo is tough to vanquish. It will take Tony's best game to triumph.

The match-up between Efren and Corteza might not happen. They just announced that Corteza is currently behind Kiamco 4 to 9.

I don't think you can still consider Van Van as second-tier anymore. Backer-wise he has his own. Tournament-wise he's doing pretty well.

looks like Alcano might have Efren's number, Efren's new "Sigel" if you will

It's fitting though, Efren stated that Alcano is the only that plays and has playing style like him. Plus Alcano has no choppers too. :D

Efren thrashing his favorite player, Sigel, and Ronnie thrashing his favorite player, Efren.
