The Points Are Amazing
I know that looking at points on a cue in progress isn't exciting for every viewer. And lots of cue-makers make a cue with sharp points so what's the big deal?
Speaking personally, the symmetry of the veneers, color selection, the length and width of the prongs, the forearm's stain, etc., that doesn't come together happenstance.
It's the cue-maker's translation of a cue design, or a design idea, and seeing it come together with progress photos helps to better convey the intricate workmanship and artistry of cue-making.
I look forward to seeing more photos of cues that Bob has underway, as well by other cue-makers. In any event, Bob just seems to get it right every time he's posted photos of cues in progress
and needless to say, the points on his cues are exquisite. Lei Jia, you have a very handsome cue under construction and I look forward to seeing photos of your finished cue. I know mine is
still a long way off, nonetheless, when I see photos of cues Bob's finished, or has underway like yours, it's exciting to think about getting one of his cues........"Cudos to Bob".
