Length of Ivory Joint Collar

Hi all, may I know what is the normal length of ivory joint collar???

How will the length of the joint collar affect the feel of the cue??

I believe the standard length of any joint collar is 1"....I would think a longer collar would add more flex to the cue...

I always thought that the longer the joint collar, the stiffer is the cue.
This is because I think that joint collar is stiffer than forearm material, so joint collar cannot bend at all.......

Does anyone has any opinion?

I think sleeved collars should be left for synthetics and SS...a solid joint of ivory will not be subject to cracking...
